Our son attended Cottage Playhouse from the time he was about three until “graduation” and we could not be happier with the experience. From the moment I stepped into the door I could tell it was going to be a calm and sweet environment (as calm and sweet as a preschool can be) and indeed that is how it was. Michelle, Judy, and all the teachers are warm, loving, consistent, organized, and communicative. They created a nurturing and safe space for the children to play, learn, and grow and they worked with us as parents to ensure our child’s happiness and positive development. They were also diligent teachers who gradually and appropriately integrated the academic concepts our son needed to know to b prepared for kindergarten. They paid special attention to our son when he needed it and respected his needs, understanding that children learn at their own pace and in their own ways. It was such a wonderful place to spend two-and-a-half of the most formative years of our son’s life.
The Cottage Playhouse was a special place for our son for 3 years as he transitioned from toddler to preschooler. We initially chose Cottage Playhouse as our preschool because of its small size, its flexibility with taking younger children, and the level of attentive care they provided for the kids. What we got was a place where our son thrived and became an outgoing child who loved school, had many friends, and was able to read by his 5th birthday. It is a safe, nurturing and fun environment filled with great people who will take very good care of your child. And it is a place that gently eases them into learning and growth so that they are prepared for what’s to come in kindergarten. Michelle, Judy and their teachers are truly a special group.
From day one our family has loved The Cottage Playhouse. Michelle, Judy and their staff go above and beyond for the kids. My daughter is always happy in the morning to go there and see her friends. She also comes home so excited to tell us about her day and what fun new things she has learned. We feel really lucky to have found The Cottage Playhouse.
My daughter, Emma, is thriving and so happy at The Cottage Playhouse. She is only 2 and the transition couldn’t have been smoother. The teachers provide such a warm nurturing environment and the days are filled with crafts, music, dancing, reading, and circle time. We are so happy to be a part of the Cottage Playhouse, it is a very special place.
What I love most about The Cottage Playhouse is how sweet and serene the atmosphere is. Kids going off to preschool, much more that age, can be a daunting time for all, and the nurturing and loving environment along with the education and extra activities that the Cottage Playhouse provided for both my girls gave me peace of mind.
My son just graduated from The Cottage Playhouse and I’m happy to say, it was the best experience for him. He learned so many wonderful things every day and which prepared him for kindergarten. We love the teachers and will miss them.
Dylan’s Cottage Playhouse experience has been above and beyond what we expected. The teachers were absolutely perfect, and created the best environment for learning and having fun! We have had nothing but positive experiences with the school and would highly recommend it to anyone!
This is the 2nd year my son has attended Cottage Playhouse and he loves it. The entire staff is nurturing and really get to know all of the children. I love hearing the little stories about his day when I pick him up. He is thriving and learning so much here. It’s a great feeling to know that he is in exceptional care and I’m so lucky to have found this school. I only wish I knew about it when my daughter was in preschool.
